EXPAT CINEMA offers unique screenings of non-English films with English subtitles. Our goal is to create a perfect opportunity for non-Dutch speakers to experience acclaimed films in a worthy cinema setting.

For the second edition of our EXPAT CINEMA, the captivating Italian film "La Chimera" is going to be screened. It is a tale where mystery, passion and intrigue unfolds. Everyone has their own Chimera: something they try to achieve but can never find. For the gang of tombaroli, thieves of ancient burial gifts and archaeological wonders, the Chimera represents redemption work and the dream of easy wealth. For Arthur, the Chimera resembles the woman he lost, Beniamina. To find her, Arthur challenges the invisible, he searches everywhere and delves into the earth - seeking the door to the afterlife spoken of in myths. In an adventurous journey between the living and the dead, between forests and cities, between festivities and loneliness, the intertwined destinies of these characters unfold, all in pursuit of the Chimera.
